A termination agreement enables employers and employees to terminate an existing employment relationship by mutual agreement. Which severance payment is appropriate in each individual case depends largely on the respective negotiating positions and the individual starting situation. In practice, the prospects of success of a possible action for unfair dismissal and the personal and economic consequences of terminating the employment relationship play a particularly important role.
